Service Description

This four-week course combines practical hypnobirthing with the knowledge you need to feel prepared and confident about your birth. You’ll learn breathing, relaxation and mindset techniques alongside understanding how the maternity system works, exploring your options and rights, and learning how to ask questions and make informed decisions about your care. The aim isn’t to prepare you for one particular type of birth. It’s to give you practical tools and knowledge that you can draw on whatever your birth journey looks like. Session 1- The ground work. In session 1 you will learn all about the physiology of birth and what is actually happening in your mind and body during labour. By the end of this class you will understand how to use relaxation and mindset to keep your head out of the game and allow your body to birth more comfortably. Session 2- Relaxation. This is the session in which you learn all of your breathing and relaxation techniques, so you can put last weeks learning in to practise... and relax. Session 3- Birth choices. (Please note this session is taught ONLINE) Session 3 is all about thinking about your choices and decisions. With all of your knowledge and expertise, you want to make sure that everyone involved in your birth experience are on board too so, we discuss in detail and draft a birth plan together. Session 4- Final preparations. Session 4 is all about ensuring you are absolutely ready and feeling confident about the birth of your baby. From soothing massage strokes to discussing your baby’s first movements after birth, I ensure you leave feeling excited about meeting your beautiful baby. This group class is reserved exclusively for a maximum of 3 couples. Taught in a beautiful venue in central Henley. Please note- Session 3 will be taught ONLINE. 1 booking includes all learning materials, refreshments, and a space for the birthing mother and their birth partner.
